Atletico Madrid midfielder, Thomas
Partey has been nominated for footballer of the year for the second year
running after yet another stunning performance for the Spanish side in the just
ended season.
Partey, who won the footballer of
the Year last year, has his name also in the best foreign-based player category.
The 2019 Ghana Football Awards was
launched on Friday, 31 May 19, at Rooftop in Accra.
Nominees for various categories were
announced. The categories include footballer of the year, team of the year, future
star award, coach of the year, women’s footballer of the year, coach of the
year, home-based footballer of the year, and goalkeeper of the year.
Thomas Party will battle it out
with Black Queens forward Mukarama Abdulai and Kotoko shot stopper Felix Annan
for the Ghana footballer of the year award.
