AFCON19: SADIO MANE HEADLINES SENEGAL PROVISIONAL 25-MAN SQUAD





The Liverpool Star man will hope to inspire the Lions of Taranga to a successful African Cup of Nations(AFCON) since their best finish 17 years ago in Mali, as runners up.

Senegal Head Coach, Aliou Cisse has named provisional 25-man squad for the Continental Showpiece in Egypt with Sadio Mané headlining his team.

Mané has had a stunning season in the Premier League, winning the Golden Boot as joint top scorer with 22 goals and finishing second with the Reds on 94 points.

The Winger has scored 26 goals in all competition and will hope to add more to his tally when Liverpool take on Tottenham in the Champions League Final tomorrow.

Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli has his name in the list as well as Idrissa Gueye and Cheikhou Kouyaté of Everton and Crystal Palace respectively.

Senegal are drawn in Group C alonside Algeria, Kenya, and Tanzania.
