Black Stars forward, Asamoah Gyan, has rescinded the decision of his retirement from the national team made on May 20, 2019 after speaking to the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo yesterday.
Gyan has released press statement confirming his return and
making himself available for selection ahead of AFCON 19.
A meeting was held at the office of the President on Tuesday between His Excellency, Nana Akuffo-Addo, Black
Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah, Black Stars management member Dr. Kofi Kodua
Sarpong, Minister of Youth and Sports Hon Isaac Asiamah, Normalization
Committee Chairman Dr. Kofi Amoah and Assistant coach of the Black Stars
Ibrahim Tanko regarding issues surrounding Asamoah Gyan’s retirement.
The president, personally phoned the Black Stars ace striker
to rescind his retirement decision made on Monday.
